Dr. Carroll is a native of Elkton, MD.  He graduated from the University of Delaware with a BS in Animal Science.  He earned his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech University in 1995, where he concentrated on small animal medicine.  He moved to Portland, OR soon after graduation and has practiced locally over the last 14 years.  He lives in Portland with his wife Debra, his son Foster, his dogs Cami, Tilly, Fee and his cat Spider.  With his free time, he enjoys family, friends, and backpacking.

Dr. Carroll is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), the American Association of Housecall Veterinarians (AAHV), and the Portland Veterinary Medical Association (PVMA).
