Dr. Carroll and Pets

Fetch and Heal: Home Veterinary Care is a house call veterinary medical practice for pets (dogs and cats). Dr. Brent Carroll provides personalized wellness, preventative and senior care in the Portland, OR Eastside Metro area and in Vancouver, WA.

House calls allow a pet to be examined comfortably in their own environment. This eliminates the stress some pets experience with travel and relieves the anxiety some pets associate with hospital settings. The convenience of having the veterinarian come to you spares sitting time in the waiting room of a busy clinic. House calls are especially beneficial to multiple pet households and to those clients with transportation limitations.

Why Home Veterinary Care?

Comfort

Many pets ("scaredy-cats" and dogs) are afraid of the vet's office.  Some are not accustomed to the close proximity of strangers or are intimidated by the sterile environment of a hospital setting.  Allowing your pet to be examined in a relaxing home environment has numerous benefits.  Not only do you eliminate the stress your pet may incur as a result of riding in a vehicle, but you no longer force your pet to wait with sick animals in a crowded clinic.  Most importantly, because stress can mask many symptoms, you will be aiding in the accurate diagnosis of your pet.

Convenience

Sometimes taking the pet to the vet can be a challenging experience (getting  your pet into the car- especially if they're car-sick, fighting traffic, waiting in the crowded lobby of a busy clinic).  Because I come to you, house calls can be easier on you and your pet.  Medical prescriptions (including parasite control like Frontline and Heartgard can be ordered through this website and home-delivered.

Quality Care

In-home veterinary care provides your pet with the dedicated, personal attention often lost in a busy clinic setting.  By nature, house calls are more intimate, allowing attention to detail. Appointments are scheduled to allow ample time to perform complete histories, physical exams, and to answer all of your questions.
